9 day tour -Chengdu, Lhasa, Gyangze, Shigatse, Lhasa, Chengdu

The altitude in Lhasa is 14,000 feet. Travelers with high blood pressure or heart conditions should consult their doctor before traveling to Tibet. Travel insurance is strongly recommended, as there are no refunds for unused Tibet arrangements, even if departing Tibet early due to altitude sickness.

Day 0 West Coast/Seoul
Checkin this evening for your late night flight aboard Asiana Airlines.

Day 1 Enroute
Depart early this morning.

Day 2 Seoul/Chengdu (L,SD)
Arrive Seoul early this morning and connect to Chengdu. Upon your arrival in Chengdu, transferred to the Dynasty Hotel (or similar).

Day 3 Chengdu/Lhasa (AB,L,D)
Morning flight to Lhasa and transfer to The Lhasa Hotel (or similar), acclimatize to the altitude. 

Day 4 Lhasa(AB,L,D)
Tour of Potala Palace, the Norbulingka Palace- Summer Palace of Tibetan Kings, and Sera Monastery.

Day 5 Lhasa (AB,L,D)
Tour of Jokhang Monastery, Drepung Monastery and Eight-Corner Street 

Day 6 Lhasa/Gyantse/Shigatse (AB,L,D)
Overland from Lhasa to Gyantse, passing by Yamdrok-Tso Lake. Visit the Pelkhor Chode Monastery with its Kumbum (10,000 images) Stupa and Shigatse. Check iinto the Shigatse Hotel (or similar).

Day 7 Shigatse/Lhasa (B,L,D)
Visit Tashilumpo Monastery,the Maitreya Buddha statue (made from 614 pounds of pure gold). Back to Lhasa by bus in the afternoon and check into the Lhasa Hotel (or similar).

Day 8 Lhasa/Chengdu (AB,L,D)
Transfer to the Airport after breakfast for your flight to Chengdu. Upon arrival transfer to the Yinhe Dynasty Hotel (or similar).

Day 9 Chengdu/West Coast (AB)
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Seoul, where you will connect with your flight to the USA.
